Irregular Tour - (English - Italiano)
In the GalaxyZoo Forum there are a lot of collections about galaxies: Spirals, Ellipticals, Merging, Irregulars, Overlapping and more.
The Forum is not only a place where made questions about classifications or post the most interesting pictures found. The informations collected become the base for other scientific studies in parallels with GalaxyZoo. The astronomers use the data sent by the members in the forum to start other scientific studies like overlapping galaxies, merging and irregulars.
In particular about this two last projects waveney, a highly skilled members of the Zoo, made a very brilliant work to help the classifications of merging and irregulars galaxies.
Irregular project is still active.
For my Saturday Object Of The Day I made a Google Tour with a selection of Irregular to highlight this brilliant work.
In the post just a few examples (Credit of images: SDSS).

GalaxyZoo - Object of The Day - Google Sky Tour (Italiano)

Buona Visione.

As I mentioned in the previous post in the GalaxyZoo Forum it's published an Object Of The Day (OOTD).
The Object Of The Day was originally chosen by the ZooKeeper, then the moderator was tasked and, recently, some members.
Generally the starting principle is to take one of the spectacular images posted in the forum with the addition sometimes of other photos, links and scientific informations.
The Object Of The Day are summarized in a collection.
Starting from a selection of Object Of The Day I made a tour of in the sky that it'spossible to download from this link and that run under Google Sky (last version). The "voyage" takes 15 minutes. If tour doesn't start automatically click on button indicated from red arrow.
